I went out yesterday to start both my NC's both started fine so i took one around the block. I noticed it was backfiring when i shut the throttle off. i just put it down to lack of use by the previous owner.Ive only had the bike 3 weeks and not really run it at all during that time, and the previous owner rebuiltit and didnt use it for 3 months since the rebuild!!
I went out to start it today and it was having none of it!! It turned over but just kept backfiring quitely, tried it for about 10 mins at intervals with choke and without!! but no joy the battery has now died!! i realize its bloody cold and it is kept outside under two covers!!

Ive checked the fuel and turned it to res and to on, also checked the kill switch!
anyone any ideas??

Is the battery old? Plugs etc?

Might just not want to play...more cuddles and bring it a cuppa tea...

Get yourself one of those in Large.. you can put it over an NC and get in it too ;)

It's also lovely and soft inside :D

I'd try a new set of plugs first, at the very least take em out and check their not black as coal (sign of blocked carbs on a neglected bike)
