Has anyone on here used the Loobman oiler system, if so what's it like?

Was looking at getting the Scotoiler but came across this instead. It seems a bit more basic and not as polished as the Scotoiler system but is only £19 delivered.

i have a loobman on mine, bit fiddly to install the chain oily bit* but no complaints, give it a squeeze each time before you pull off and it drips through. not as precise or efficient as the scottoiler but for £19 i'm happy with it :)

*you get a bundle of cable ties in the package, some hold the bottle and feed pipe, a metal widget for holding the oily bit in place and some to actually make the oily bit. sounds complicated but the instructions are good and once you've sussed it its pretty straightforward.

Never seen or heard of the loobman before (until just looking over their website)

The scottoiler is a fantastic product tho, install and forget with little maintainance required apart from filling up the oil, which lasts ages when set properly.

After reading the loobman website though..

Road Test
In a test, a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 was fitted with a new chain and sprockets and put to work on the London despatch circuit. The chain was sprayed with aerosol lube every day in an operation that took on average, 3 minutes. The machine averaged 120 miles per day.

Spraying the chain everyday with aerosol lube?

Unless your riding through the Sahara you only need to clean your chain every other tankful and check the tension (most of the time it won't need adjusting anyway)

A properly cleaned, lubed and adjusted chain will last aaages.

If your a weekend rider i'd suggest a gallon of parrafin, a paintbrush and some gearbox oil, this'll last forever if used properly (well ages)

If your riding all the while it depends on your cashflow, if you can afford it go for the scottoiler.

Thanks for the info guys, after looking around i decided to give the loobman a go. It's only £16.95 delivered after all.
