Honda Workshop Manual NC21 (anybody got one)?????
Has anybody downloaded this manual.
http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/ ... 2-download" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's up for $19.99 about £12.50 and was wondering if it was worth it
Mainly looking for engine dismantling and rebuilding for my NC21
Cheers

The NC21 service manual is in Japanese only as it's a JDM bike.gandi67 wrote:Has anybody downloaded this manual.

You can get the NC30 manual free
http://hondatech.info/downloads/Moto/VFR/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Theres loadsa bike manuals there.
There isn't much difference between the NC21/NC30 engine apart from the valve train, a few sensors etc.
What are you wanting to do to the engine?
The Japanese service book can be brought from Japan easily for about £20 (you'll obv need to know Japanese

However, Since the NC21 is 180 degree firing order use the RC24 (VFR750) service manual (available in english to download from the net) for cam timing etc and the NC30 service manual for anything else and you won't be far away.
Oh and if you do get stuck just ask on here :) Somebody will be able to help

I do have a proper Honda workshop manual for the nc21 but it is in Japanese.I also have the parts catalogue but that is also in Japanese.Both books,however,have lots of pictures and exploded diagrams.I live in London so if you want to pop round and borrow you may.

If you had money to waste then you could even get the original NC21 1986 SP Racing system to but the price is a bit mental !!!

Yes its a bit to much but if your a "one of a kind" type of collector then its probably not to much
. I see they have a few F3/Sp goodies of the 80's but sadly nothing for the RVF

Stripped top end on front and back banks 1 & 3 ok, No 2 hole in piston and No 4 no piston and half a con-rod, someone else been in there before me, front head has 4 valves with valve heads missing ans looks like they have had a shotgun used for good measure.
Worth repairing???????

Nope, get a new engine.
Hell a decent running bike is likely to only be ~400quid, you'll easily blow that in about half the parts you'll need!

Strip it, keep what you can for spares, ditch the rest.
These engine are bulletproof if serviced and run with oil in them

You can pick up an engine for an NC21 from arond £100.00 on ebay.
