ok we used to do this on the sv650org forum but it has fallen away the last few years. So i was thinking of organising it for next year on this forum.
The plan is to go from dover either the ferry or tunnel (chepest option) swiftly through France to Stavelot Belgium to stay at http://www.aeaventures.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Neil will be our guide to and around the ring and back, he is the English instructor with the motrad ring training, and is very swift. And most people say the best thing is not the ring laps but the ride to the ring on the Belgium + German roads.
With one full day at the ring blasting out of corners past porches and bmws and laughing at the crashed expensive machines.
The next day set off to Oostend to stay here http://www.grd.be/motorhotel/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for a few beers (usually very funny night) and a short trip back to Calis for the ferry back to the UK the next day. So in short long weekend away day 1 getting to Stavlot, day 2 at the ring, day 3 bikers loft Oostend, day 4 ferry back home
estimate of cost £ 114 accommodation £40 food £75 4 laps of the ring £40 ferry petrol dependant
total cost £269+

if that's not ideal there is a possibility of keeping the same trip but leaving the ring and doing a track day at spa could work out cheaper and possibly more interesting.

I do fancy doing the 'ring, I don't fancy riding a pre-mix 250 stroker all the way there (and hopefully back)....

Why not join us next year and share a van with someone else ? i will be taking the ducati so something to stick a few spares in would be handy

Mart we go a couple of times a year however of late it seems to have been a bit too dangerous with brits getting creamed and the track closed more than its open.
Suggest you try a week day and avoid weekends like the plaque. roads around there are just as good IMO

yep unfortunately it seems to getting worse i had a friend killed there 2 years ago. Too many cars chasing faster laps dangerously. i just put the idea for a week end to try cutting down the expenses and not stealing too much Holiday time. the more i think! it would be better to go to spa.

I'd be keen but am sure I read that SPa don't allow less than 600cc bikes on... so that is most of us screwed..lol

Im up for trip to the ring next year and could possibly be talked into taking a van with the 400 loaded up if theres gunna be others on 400's or less. There be space for 1 more in the back aswell.

I too will be going again sometime, and would be happy to take the 916 and contribute towards anyone taking a van assuming should anything go wrong i can get home not that it would of course

I went this year in may for my first trip and first time abroad on a bike, was awesome to say the least!

I am going next year with the same bunch and will be going to le mans also..

Might be up for two trips though!

really want to try the ring, (no pun intended) seen some many vids of scary fast laps, I am def in if anybodys stll going
