Hi guys,

I need some more of you're incredible advice...

Firstly i turn the key in the ingition and the only thing that works is the oil pressure light on the dash, nothing else works at all no lights, no engine nothing :(

Now i know that the battery is a good un as its brand new and ive tested it using an electrical tester...

Also im finding it hard to get the gears to work... when i rebuilt the engine the gears worked fine when turning the selector drum by hand, however it seems that the gear selector shaft is hard to move and get bike in gear...

Any help would be appreciated before i blow all my budget on a new engine and wiring loom ect
(and i aint got £350 for an engine of Graeme france) :( :( :( :(

Many thanks guys,
Adam.

Check your assembly of the gear selector mechanism on the clutch side, and the clutch push rod/activation lever. Either something is not right with the selector mechanism preventing the rod from turning, or the clutch is not disengaging.

Your electrical gremlin is an odd one. You have power and an earth, and proof that the switch works for the oil pressure light to activate, your neutral light should also activate as it is on the same power circuit. This means the neutral isnt earthing, check the state of the plugs around your instrument cluster and make sure everything has a solid connection.

Just an update,

I replaced the wiring loom yesterday, I now have working electrics which is a big boost :)
just need to look at the engine, if I can't get it to work then I'll be in contact with woodzy about his engine :)
