I think ive seen this on ebay before, i think the question was raised before as to the hrc spec? Looks like an Ohlins shock has been slotted in somehow though. Looks the part?

There are a few things in those photos that make me think it is a little better prepared than your aveerage NC29 race bike. So the story 'could' be true. BUt f it is full HRC spec it will have a lot more than the parts listed.

Mind you, it's not uncommon for an owner of an HRC spec bike to not actually know what they have....

It DOESNT have HRC bodywork on it, but that means nothing. Some current performance figures would be a bit more reassuring than stating its pedigree, for me anyhow.

All good this end Chris, home in just over a week, cant wait! Then its off to sunny Spain for 3 days on track at Almeria, REALLY cant wait for that!!

Hard to know what that bike is gonna fetch, he's not saying whats going on inside the lump, revised gearbox, lightened crank, cams, flowed head, hi comp pistons?????? It's all a bit vague for my liking. Wheels have to be worth a few quid, shock and forks too. I would imagine Billy's or my bike would be to an equal if not higher spec, same goes for one of Aly's VFR's......so anything between 1k and 2.5k if its the real deal.

IMO for what it's worth.

What about you big lad, getting plenty of laps in round Cadwell I see, we'll swap paint one of these days! Keep 'er lit!!

I emailed him, he said he would take £1600. So you were in the right ball park. Im priming the misses for a family holiday over the pond, would be a shame not to slip a track day in if you know what i mean. Any holiday spots near you per chance?

Just so happens I live in a handy wee seaside town, not a stone's throw from Belfast in one direction, and a track in the other. Not sure when I'm going to be home next year, but so far it's looking like February then May, around about the same time as the North West 200 as chance would have it, cough cough.
There's always room at ours for a few days if you fancy it, and you know the story regarding the second bike!

That isnt too bad a price for that, but I'd really want to know more about the engine, has it been refreshed since it raced the TT, what non standard internals yadda yadda. If you take the price of an HRC CDI, ram air kit, shocks and wheels you arent far off that sort of money anyhow, plus you'll have a spare bike for when I come over!

" plus you'll have a spare bike for when I come over!" thats already sorted my friend. Whats the name of this seaside village?
I would have thought if it was a decent bike it would have been snapped up by now? Will keep an eye on what it goes for anyway.
