Anyone running these on an NC30? If so which ones?

Have them on my GSXR and made quite a difference. Wondering if worth it on these

Grab 4 05-08 CBR600RR stick coils. Buy a 600RR coil sub harnes off Ebay for the connector.

Now wire 2 coils in series and connect them back to the appropriate tap for each set of cylinders. Cut 4 - 3/4 I.D. pieces of tubing about a 1" long. Slide them over the coils. Take the threaded adapters for the HT leads off the top of the plugs.

Drop on your stick coils and ride happily. The Dyna coils are pricey and don't make a huge difference to the bike. They are just hard to mount.

Not to hijack the thread too much but since the NC24 has 4 separate coils I could just in effect swap these over yes?

Is there likely to be a noticeable difference? As if so i'll do this while the bikes in bits :)

As long as the stock coils are 1.5 ohm coils then you should be just fine.

I can't find no reference to 1.5ohm...

The NC24 specs are:

Primary resistance: 2.0-4.0 ohms
Secondary Resistance: 15.0 to 21.0k ohms (with cap)
11.0 to 15k ohms (without cap)

But the NC30 specs from the honda Manual say

Primary resistance: 2.5-3.5 ohms
Secondary Resistance: 14-25k ohms (with cap)
11-14k (without cap)

Which looks pretty much similar to the NC24 specs... Expect the NC24 has 4 coils..

1.5 ohm individuals may have an adverse effect on the CDI. You need to see if you can source some that are 2.0 ohms or above.

I have Dyna coils on my old BMW but they are the special 6 volt twin output ones. This is because it has been twin-plugged which means it goes a lot better than standard.I do know that Dyna are a quality product and a lot of car tuners use them particularly on old VW Beetles. They reliably deliver a big fat spark.
