Been reading here for a while.
In the process of getting my NC30/35 hybrid ready for the track.
Was last raced and crashed by me in '05.
So far I've got the front end refreshed and resprung, replaced the calipers, as the bleed nipples were seized.
A GSXR K8 radial m/c.
It was jetted and running fine with free flowing air filter, would like to do more with the airbox and jetting.
Removed the generator, not sure about removing the flywheel, as I believe torque will suffer???
Stripped down harness.
NC35 rear linkage,rear wheel.
I have a Sachs RS250 shock with adjustable ride height that I need a spring for(900lbs/175lb rider),does it need to be revalved to slow it down?
I really want the HRC CDI on ebay,is the Rick Oliver unit comparable?
I need some new body work, ebay again, front faring for 120 pounds.
The motor was freshened up in '04 with new rings and refreshed heads.
I just need some direction and hope.

Great site,brilliant information.

You'll probably destroy the engine if you try to run it without a flywheel. The flywheel acts as a counterbalance for the engine.

You can change it to a lighter weight flywheel, which will have pro's and cons.

It won't give you any more HP but it will affect how the bike accellerates and rides. As a general rule of thumb, the lighter the flywheel the 'twitchier' the bike will be.

I know some of the smaller bikes actually add weight to their flywheels!

Theres a few people here that have a lighter flywheel so they can comment on how its affected their engine.

Thing is,not sure what loom/CDI, is on it.
Would the RVF motor run with the VFR loom and CDI?
If so,could I plug in the RVF cdi?
Is the connection different?

It's a VFR loom and CDI.
Is the Rick Oliver CDI comparable to the HRC unit?
Certainly less expensive....
