I have an NC30 94, and I've been having problems with starting the bike over the last few weeks or so.
It seems to be very intermitant and I'm to the point where each day I'm unsure weather it's going to start or not!
What happens is I fire her up and she starts perfectly but then after a couple minutes she slowly fades away and cuts out.

I used to leave the fuel tap off when the bike was standing and switch it on to start up, but since the last time this happened I've been leaving it on all the time and the bike runs really well with no issues.
But now this morning I have the same thing happen! Could it be somehting to do with the tap & has anyone else had this problem?
I ride the bike every day to commute around london so it's never sat for days at a time.
Can anyone shed some light?

You'll have to whip the tank off and see if the tap works under vacuum or not. Check that the vacuum hose is actually attached and also is not getting too old and perished.

Check the vacuum pipe to the fuel tap, from rear right cylinder carb intlet.
Check pipe is :-
#1 Connected
#2 Not perished

Problem is the vacuum has already been checked... the last time this happened turns out it had perished so had it replaced.
After that issue, I had been happily riding around and on the M25 I started to lose power although the bike was still running. Pulled over and gave it a few revs and seemed ok so I carried out on my journey! 5 minutes later same thing happened so pulled over, once again... seemed ok! Called the workshop I took it to and they said if it seems ok bring it in. So I did and the bike rode great. Weird... put it down to me since the guy had it all apart, all seemed fine and that was the last of the problems I had. This was a couple of weeks ago!
So don't know if that was something connected with the power loss or if it was relaly me!

I'm in two minds as to whats going to happen, part of me thinks I'm going to get home and it's going to start and be fine, or I'm going to get it recovered and find nothing wrong with it.
All I want to do is ride my lovely bike!

How sure are you that it is fuel?

Could be a duff battery going weak and killing the bike? Does it still turn over in a nice and speedy manner even though not firing?

The battery was replaced when I bought the bike in July and again around 6-8 weeks ago when these issues started happening. I thought after reading various posts could be rectifier though the guy I've been taking it to reckons it's not.

When it starts it fires straight away without any problems... it's only after a few minutes it dies on me, Like it has been starved of fuel. I filled it up on my way home also so it has a full tank in.

Blocked breather on tank, next time does it open tank striaght away see if there is a inrush of air.
