NC24 carbs are definitly 29mm. Not 100% sure on the size of the NC30 carbs but im sure they are not interchangeable...

The 21, 24 and 30 carbs are all the same size, I have a set of all 3 in front of me (and use the round '24 slides in my nc30 carbs). I have seen the spec stated as 29mm, but my measurements are 32mm and 31.8mm (entrance and exit). Doesn't look like they taper smaller in the middle either.
Most of the changes are just to the jetting, the air jet circuit, and the choke operation linkages.

I second that. They are identical bodies - both VD32.

Hi!
I try to use the NC30 carbs in my NC24 at the moment. They fit 1A, i only had to change the choke-linkage.
The problem is how to adjust the carbs. Does anyone know what jets and needles i schould use? I tried the ones from the NC24 but it does´nt work. Did anyone try this before?
Cheers!

It doesn't run at all? It should run, albeit wont be very good.
Are the carbs seated properly, all cables connected and no linkages sticking.
Check you have fuel going into the carbs....
The jets unscrew, check the haynes manual for jet sizes for the NC30, the NC24 jet sizes are in the back in the reference section.

It doesnt run at all! Only runs with choke. Now i try to use the NC30 adjustment complete - jets, needles, diaphragms.
I will write what happened

Yes they do.
But i noticed a really really interesting point - the pilot screws are missing
Nice, hmm?! I gave the carbs to my dealer to clean every little channel and srew -and got it back without pilot screws ...
I thought everything is ok and didnt look at every little corner and screw.
So i dont have to wonder, that it wont run ...
