Hi.I`m new to this forum and I`ve got a Honda VFR400 NC30 with the NC35 Front pannel. Well I have to do the MOT soon and I`ve looked at the headlighs and there are no dipped lights ,just main beam and high beam, but there is a switch for the dipped beam. Also I found the plugs for the bulbs but they can`t go nowhere. What should I do? Will it fail it`s MOT? and also I need another back end(the genuine one is very square) i`ve looked at tyga but they are a expensive choice. Thanks

The headlights on my RVF just have 2 settings, hi and low and thats it. What you have should be fine. I have a fiberglass race seat unit for a nc35 in the for sale section if your interested, you could just cut out the holes for a rear light if using it on the road.

Well all started 2 days ago, when the bike didn`t want to start at all, just backfires,I took the 33 bhp restrictors and nothing the same just backfire, yesterday i took the plugs out and i`ve seen that they were dirty and full of oil,I cleaned them and checked for spark against the frame,3 of them were fine one had a red-ish spark, put them back in the engine and it fired up.Now it seems that it won`t idle normal, revs keep going up,down up down, when I accelerate i get backfire, and also 3 pipes from the exhaust are hot and one is cooler. What should I do?

sort out the cylinder with the cold pipe coming from it - its probably the duff spark plug or the one with the weaker spark.

it might be firing occasinally giving you the backfires as the cylinder fill with fuel then ignites and the poor idle as it picks up then dies again.

Try this then let us know!!

Cheers Smev 8-)
