VFR shock into a CBR

OK, we know you can retro fit a Firblade shock into a VFR, but what about the other way? Rather than sell my Hyper-Pro I'd like to fit it into the 'Blade.
For those of you running aftermarket Fireblade shocks in their VFR, what did you have to do to make it fit?

I'm going to mail Hyper-Pro today and see if they can do it for me, if not then I'll sell it and get one for the CBR.

We would really like it if they were more the same, so you could exchange shocks (and it would save us a lot in development), but this isn't the case unfortunatly.

Hmmm, no good.
At the least I would say you would need to fit a new spring (you could confirm this by looking at the standard spring rates of the 2 bikes, the linkage differences might put them way out
).
I still wouldn't eliminate it fitting though. The spindle might just need some slight mods. Only way you'll be able to tell for sure is to measure you blades shock.
I reckon it will (or could be made to) fit fairly easily. But then I'm an optimist, and have been proven wrong with bleeding knuckles and profanities in the past in efforts to try and prove it...

I too have those scuffed knuckles and said a bad word or 2 in the past, but I now like to remove, fit then forget. I guess by selling the Hyperpro it'll free up a few quid to throw at the CBR's arse.

It's for sale at £450. Where abouts in N.I. are you? I can even fit it for you if you like.

I'm in glengormley, what weight of rider is it set up for? and how old is it? just a wee bit of info on it? You could check my valve clearances as well if you like

I'm 13 stone, so about that weight. The date on the reciept it November 2005, but the shock hasn't seen that many miles though. What do you want to know about it. It's an all-singing, all-dancing top of the line piece of kit. Compression, pre-load and re-bound. High speed and low speed damping on a remote reservoir. The best improvement you'll ever do to your VFR/RVF FACT. Will be available from Sunday onwards.
Valves unfortunately need to be done when the motor is stone cold and sat at least overnight.
