Just fitted a uk MPH speedo and now the bike cuts to two cylinders at about 30 mph???...at the back of the speedo there is no wires to connect the orange/green wires that connect with the block connecter?

Any ideas?

sounds like the cdi does not notice the speedo is connected?

Think what i need to do here is join the blue/orange and brown/black wires in the restrictor block connector to complete the circuit. The cdi as you say is now not recognizing the speedo as connected and cutting two cylinders at 5,000 rpm.

Will i need a resistor when i connect the two wires??

sorted it for now...took the circuit board out of the jap clocks and put it in a small plastic bag the taped it all up with insulation tape, connected it back into the loom and its back to revving freely once again.
