Hi i recently purchased a NC35 tracky. Runs well, except the rear shock is way way soft, squatting and squirming under power and working my rear tire much harder than normal. heres a link to photo of the tire ware

So I am currently searching for options to sort out the rear.

I did a search of the forum and found there are aftermarket and retro fit options:

For the retro fit it seems that you can fit a rs250, k6 600/750 and a cbr600 shock with modified linkage systems. Is there any other shocks that could be used for retro fitting as i am on a tight budget.

How much do you have to spend? I'm from the group that doesn't rate retro-fit shocks. No point in modifying something to fit when you can buy an off-the-shelf item that fits with no need to change things.

What pressures are you running in those tyres? That can also be a factor in the tearing.

29 psi. I have roughly $1000 AU (roughly around 500 pounds) to spend on front and rear. The front only needs spring changes, but the rear needs much more work.

Also the pressure may be an issue, but the rear is squatting and squirming under load so will definitely need some work.

You dont always have to buy new, i got a second hand fully adjustable maxton for £300. it was off a spare wet bike and mint. Front end should cos you no more than £100

Can't say better than that. Put up a wanted post in the For Sale/Wanted section and see what you can get. For the front, a forum member called Rick Oliver (same username) will sort you out with a good kit for the forks.

my local suspension tuner can get me a fully adjustable 2nd hand penske for around 400 quid so i suppose that would be my best option after a retro fit shock. As always, I am after the best outcome with the least amount of expense. Hence, if a retro fit shock fits and works well and is a cheaper options i am happy to go that way.
