What part of the exhaust are you trying to remove? :?:

Which bike, and is it the standard exhaust system?

I've never removed a standard (1 piece) system, if it is you might need to remove the rear shock (or get nasty with an angle grinder!).

It is a total pain in the arse.. You'll have to fight with it. Sliding the rear off the stubby manifold is tough on a cut or aftermarket system..let alone a full length standard one.

a chap I was chatting to at boxhill with a full system said it was easier with the swingarm out

You should be good if you get the shock out.

I assume you don't have the required stands, so try the old car jack under the (rear) of the engine trick. It's been a good few years since I've had to deal with a stock exhaust, but I don't recall too many issues? Just add heaps of WD40 and loosen all the bolts before you get it on the jack.

Good luck!
