wobbly front mudguard

rode my nc30 without earplugs yesterday and noticed a slight rattle over bumps - turns out to be the front mudguard. it's tight on the bolts however the plastic 'hoops' are slightly loose on the forks. any ideas on how to tweak them?

common, a good fix is to use clear silicone sealant, a thin smear on clean legs (the bikes not yours), then slide the white mounts over the top. wipe of excess, leave to set overnight, refit mudguard - jobs a fish !

and the other trick is to fill the potiental gap between the fork and the "hoop" with some ptfe tape or some electrical tape

There are cheap pattern copies available (suggesting it is indeed a common problem!), but the quick fixes suggested above will probably work just as well.
