i thourt i solved it then it started again. bought a new (used) reg/rec and a new battery, was working for a while but now its doin it again if the battery is fully charged i can start it off the button, leave it running for 10mins then turn it off, try to start it again and the battery is flat. any ideas. thanks

It sounds like youve got a ground short on the battery side of the wireing loom, hence the battrey is being run down.

wot does that mean (u can tell im new to this!) do u have any ideas on how to fix it. thanks

I could write for a day covering things to test/try etc and leave you very confused so i would recommend logging onto banditalley.net and down loading the Bandit400 manual, its in english and will cover all the things to test like the charging output, Ac generator continuity/no load performance and reg/rectifier. it sounds like the battery is not being charged so possibly the genny. You will need a cheap digital meter.

thanks mate just bought a multimeter gonna download the manual and see how it goes. do u think its worth buying a bandit 400 haynes manual are they similar to the gk76a. thanks for the advice
