dyno tuning

does anyone no much about dyno tuning. is it a good idea, wot does it achieve, how much is it any info please, was thinking bout gettin mine done but just wanted some info.

Basically if you modify the bike - example - performance headers, performance end can, performance air filter etc your fuelling will be out. As such your bike is not making as much power as it could (+ likely to be running very lean).

Dyno runs can show you the power, torque and fuel curves. From this data the operator can tweek your carbs.

I think I paid £45 for a dyno run at RJS Superbikes. That's without them messing about with the carbs which could have run up to a few hundred quid.

It can also be used to show you the overall power but remember one dyno will measure different to another!

ive got a full scorpian system thats it, ive just had the carbs balanced do u think its worth getting it dyno tuned. thanks

it runs ok just it sounds a bit rough when i rev it in neutral about 5-6000 revs, i thourt it mite help it run smoother. and theres a flat spot in lower end of second. any ideas?
