From bad to worse. please help

i went to check the water leak on my bike this morning, expecting to just have to replace a simple rubber hose, as i went to remove the clip that held it in place the whole thing came off including the metal nubbin that the hose connects to, its a part of the engine so im guessing im going to need a new engine block but if anyone can suggest a cheaper fix id be grateful. the pipe in question is the second one that connects just behind the oil filter nearest the engine. im beginning to think i may be better off getting yet another bike, would be sad to see it go though its been a damn good bike in the time ive had it, infact the only bike ive ever owned that has never broken down

if its only a water hose, It wont be under huge pressure.
could you not see if they do some sort of metal epoxy to fix the tue back in place? My radiator on my SP1 is half areldite and it does the trick.

It sounds like the water pump. It has 2 hosed about 30mm diameter going to it - located just in front & below the front sprocket. It's the size of a bread roll - made of ally, 2 hose pipes pointing forward.
If it is - you need a new / 2nd hand water pump - not a complete block. It's a simple unbolt - rebolt job

thanks for the advice guys, the bike is an nc29, but the break isnt on the water pump its one on the engine, i was going to take a pic but i cant find my memory card converter so i cant get it off my phone, so i went with the next best thing and pinched a pic from the digital haynes i have, it doesnt show it too well but ive highlighted the pipe that has the problem
i think loz's idea of using some sort of glue may be my best chance, but im worried to say the least
update:
have just managed to get the pipe off and the bit out, unfortunately i had to cut the pipe to get it out, worse still the bit i retrived is horrifically corroded and rather soft so i think refixing it is unlikely , things dont look good, ive taken some pics and will have a card reader later on so i will up pics

Looking at the picture it's either the oil cooler (round steel body directly behing the oil filter), or the aluminium housing directly above it - 100mm wide, 20mm high with the hose spigot on the right - as you look at it from the front. This bit often suffers very bad corrosion.
Whichever bit it is - 2nd hand bit will bold straight on.

Thats the jobbie - a common piece to corrode. Bolt on a 2nd hand one. 15 minute job
