Hi all

I have just found out a little bit about a 1988 gsxr 400 that is very close to me but is a non runner.
It had a new engine fitted had carb work done but has an electrical fault somewhere and was last run 2 years ago. it is suposed to be in very good condition but non standard paint work.

Thats as much as i know for the moment, what money would that be worth.
Its a friend that owns it so im hopeing to get a bargain.

my 89 73a sp failed to sell on ebay. It only got up to 313 ish quid. It was running, with all the work done for the mot and good consumeables. Take what you want from that, I'm keeping now and restoring it fully

I was thinking that the seller might want around 500, so i think i will be looking to offer about a couple hundred maybe

Had a bit of update on the bike.
I am told it has RGV 250 forks, thwe engine was a good second hand replacement from the previous owner, the starting problem is with the ignition somewhere i think by the story of what happened, it just died completely no power at all, battery was fine. A m8 had been servicing it and split all the connections on the loom, cleaned them and put them back together with some spray. The problem happened once she got the bike back from him.

Thats what she is telling me and is going to let me see a pic of it.

first of all id change battery or check the spark plugs or even the coil
