I'm sure a couple of us have seen this bike on the bay ... and at a shade under £3000 it can prove that a good bike with history is still worth something.
It's a lovely bike too.

I think he got a couple of people bidding so the price went up and up.
He was on here when he was researching the history ... the research is also part of the value.

Crash damage isn't such a major issue as long as the bike is repaired and still straight. I bought my TJ with damage and coverred the dent in the frame (from the clip on knocking round) with frame protectors. If I sell it I'll include the pics of the frame so I don't rip anybody off.

You really want to sell your SP or are you just saying that - remeber it's condition that comands the prices.

Cant believe how cheap some are though, I've just bought a perfectly serviceable UK 3tj off ebay for £440!! Only needs a chain and clutch cable. Taking it to the Isle of man to practice on next month

Not an sp but a bloody bargain I reckon.

Can't tell directly from the pics ... but ... that could be a 4DX

The speedo reeds in MPH and the rear light could be the right style. It's a good buy if it is, even if it's a 3TJ it's still great value

Well done

Looks a bargain to me

Quick off topic question, will the MPH clocks off the above bike fit on my import 1990 3TJ?

Quick reply - yes
Longer reply - yes, but you'll need a derestriction box to plug into the loom or a derestricted cdi.

The longer short answer is ... stick with the original clocks and fit a gold mph converter.

The bike is already derestricted, well i assume it is as it goes off the clock ;)
