I am in need of some pictures please.

I need to see where and how close the full tyga exhaust system comes to the suspension linkage under the bike, if any one could post a picture or even send me one that would be great thanks.

Why? very close...but when you are sat on it should not be a problem

TYGA sell a lot of the systems...not too many people come to tell of clearance issues. :geek:

The problem i have at the moment is i am using an SP1 rear shock which being longer then the standard shock was making the suspension linkage rest on my exhaust so with time has put so much pressure on it the rear header pipes decided to snap clean off, this is why i would like some pic's of where the tyga exhaust system seats so i can work out if it might do the same.

The one i was interested in was just the single exit style not the twin one they do.

Thanks for the reply CMSMJ1

Alright Paul, i'm good thanks just been busy in general got to work to pay for bike parts costing the earth   now as i have a new addition  hows the family doing?

The exhaust system i had on was some sort of race system but was constructed of ally and all four pipes joined up under or as close to under the suspension linkage which is where i was having the problem so before i go forking out more cash i want to know i wont be getting the same problem.

Isn;t the Sp1 shock about 35mm taller than std?

I think you'll have the same problems whatever you use for exhausts. I have the RS250 shock and that is 15mm or so longer...and the pipes, all of the ones I have had, touched the linkage under extension.

Another 20mm would see the pipes being clouted even when not fully extended I reckon?

royster81, yes that is the exhaust i have at the moment any idea's on who or what make it is?

CMSMJ1, yes the sp1 Shock is about 35mm longer but with the 17" rear RVF wheel it has done wonders on the handling, had a few issues to start with by having a few high speed tank slaps coming out of corners but soon rectified that with a Ohlins steering dampener,

35mm longer would make the bike very quick to turn in and possible unstable, you could try raising the forks in the yokes so their flush which would reduce the amount of weight on the front and make it a bit more stable
