Which rearsets?

I'm looking for a new set as the ones I currently have fitted seem to be made of cheese!

They are the Thailand ones off ebay with the Yoshimura logo stamped on them. Obviously fakes!!

They were good until I fell off - then the replacement parts that I bought came and are so soft, i found my feet sliding off as they bent - all this in mid corner!

So what i'm after is recommendations for good ones or a little review of the ones you have fitted!

As far as I can work out there are only a couple to choose from -
the thailand ones
Tyga
Coerce
Race supplies type (similar to the coerce)
and Standard ones. (maybe with jackup plates)

Cheers

Depends if you want pimp ones or not?

One of my mates had the smae as yours..they were bobbins. flexy and cracked.

I had some Coerce, sold to Martin and looking pimp on his moto - solid and high.

Now have some no name race supplies type ones on the race bike - they are solid and work.

Would not spend £350 on rearsets if I could help it...I think they are almost a disposable item as they get wrecked in crashes.

I'd be tempted for some of Rick's or even the £99 SES ones on ebay...

Ive got a set of tyga rearsets on my NC race bike,

they are pretty good and solid, but if i was to replace them i would go for either Ricks, the SES or race supplies ones as

they are also solid but cheap....

probably you can use almost any rearsets, as long you got the right measurement of the mounting holes....

I have ses rearsets on my bike and i once considered selling them for some tricker looking ones but on looking at most hrc rc45's and cbr1000rrs they have simple and well engineered rearsets. I seem to be loving that type of product these days, beauty in simplicity. I have crashed twice with em and they still look like new. I made some of my own carbon heelplates for added tartiness and i am well happy with em now. Recommended.

I just fitted the cheapo 99.00 ebay jobbies !!

I had to machine part of the gear side hanger away to clear the swing arm . . . and the gear leaver clashes with shift rod on upshifts!! they seemed a little soft while machining too but to be honest thats just what i expected for 99 squids !! They could do with a bit of a polish too (awful chip marks from machining) and the bits of the levers you put your foot on are to long. not a problem on the brake side but you have to reach out and over to far when changing from down to upshifts or vise versa !! allen screws are all cheap zinc plated and the bushes are slightly sloppy (no Ball Bearings) !!

The position is good though !!

and they arrived quicksmart !!

just what you want to get you back on the road in a hurry !! but i would only recomend for just that . . . a quick fix to get you back on the road in a hurry . . .

Ooooo shows up the dirt big time !! :-P

Have got tyga ones on my bike. Not tested them properly yet thankfully but have had the gear change lever snap on me while riding, £50ish later to replace it! am now having an issue with the toe spigot}(?) working loose on almost every ride. Could probably work out a way of fixing it but shouldnt really have to at that price! Also finding first with them fitted is a bitch. In short look bling, expensive to replace parts but give good clearance when dropped but cant vouch for the dragability! hope that helps

I've got a set of the ebay 99 quid ones on one of my nc30's, not great but you get what you pay for. Mine wouldn't go on without some minor mods.

My fave rearsets are WR's, you can pick them up off US ebay for less than 150 quid. Proper jap build quality, shift very well, very light, and look cool as.

I rate them 5 thumbs up!
