CRASH!

Lowsided on a roundabout this evening, miss judged the surface and the temp of my tyres  Amazing what a 30mph spill can do..

Luckily I am ok and managed to roll and slide without my head hitting the floor. Thank god for leathers!!

The bike however has seen better days :scare:

Visible damage..

RHS Lower fairing damaged - have a spare..
Front upper fairing has scratches..
RH Mirror has smashed - have a spare..
Bar end snapped off and throttle twist grip is broken..

Now for the bad bits.. :Puke:

RHS Engine casing has a hairline crack which caused some oil to leak out..
Sump tray sppears to have oil leaking by the gasket..
The swingarm took an impact on a curb and appears to be out of line..
Exhaust centre section has a big dent in it..
Front tyre has a chunk out of it and the rim is dented..

Any advice guys and girls?

I am going to call my insurance company tomorrow and see what they say.. I am fully comp which is good.. I was thinking that they will probably write it off.. But how much will they offer.. that is the question.. :scared:

It is indeed amazing what damage a low speed accident can do to a bike. by the sounds of it the Insurance company will not hesitate to declare it written off, but as for value I wouldnt have a clue!

Glad your alright and see the errors of your ways.. Hope you get back on a bike and enjoying it ASAP!

My mate had a big accident on his GSX-R750 bieng an idiot. Went into a 60mph corner at nearly 120mph and simply laid it on its side before he hit something very hard. Bike was a complete write off, and all he suffered was a broken bone in his hand and a few cuts and bruises!!

Stay safe out there people!!... Your on the bike, and lucky to be alive no matter what speed your going, so cherish your time with it..

when i got knocked of in london, i asked for 800. so they offered me 1000 as long as i bought the salvage for 200.
got a new frame and rebuilt it.
i have a spare sump, someone else on the forum is after my rh casing, if they decide not to have it, and as long as you dont mind it being scuffed, then u just need to find the rest of the bits
