right so im having a fuelling problem on my bike and need to know two things please guys :)

right, emulsion tubes could anyone tell me where these are as i need to check front and back are in correct location, the ones with the extra hole being at the back!

and also, how do i check my carbs float seats? and float height i need to make sure these are all correct but need a laymans guide to carb maintenance lol, no techno blah blah just solid straight forward info. even if you have to descrive something as something else IE: the needle which looks like the one you'd pump a football up with! ha!

cheers guys all your help is always appreciated :)

The tubes are what the jets screw into.

The float height is checked with from the carb gasket base with the float valve just resting its tang on the pin.

ive found the best way to check that the float seats are sealin is to remove all the float bowls, drain petrol out 1st lol! and then turn the carbs upside down and blow down the petrol pipe, no air sould come out! if it does then you will easily be ble to trace which one is not seating by feel. also while your at it remove the float seats and check the filters are clean underneath(10mm socket) emulsions use a 7mm socket.

have you check your tank filter is clean also?

cheers dave

where is the tank filter exactly located? only thing ive ever looked at would be the kind of long two length filter pipe which is connected to the fuel tap. this is then placed inside the tank so im assuming its this, which is fine nice and clean.

ill have to have a check of the carbs tonight as ive been working away all weekend :( boo!

how exactly would i drain all the fuel from my carbs? and will i have to get them all set up again once done?

im new with carbs so any help appreciated

correct about the in tank filter.

you can drain the carbs on or off the bike, i find it easier to do off the bike. there is a screw in the side of each float bowl and also a port comming out the bottom. when you slacken the screw the fuel drains from the spout, you can put a suitible piece of pipe on this and drain it into a container.

you will not neet to get the carbs set back up again as you wont alter any settings you will just clean the jets.

hope this helps
