You will probably get hassle every single day as the London ANPR Cameras will be unable to read your numberplate. The police will basically presume you could be anyone from a milkman to a terrorist with a scud up his arse. Expect them to come down on you VERY Hard, VERY Fast. Basically mate, if you get a mile past an ANPR camera I will be suprised.

Wow, that's one pessimistic way to look at it! ;)

No need to worry about the licence, but expect a £30 fixed penalty if a cop fancies being strict about it!

lol that does seem a little harsh, like speedy said, you will just get a £30 fine, how about 7x5??? looks better and aint too small

Personally, I'd stick with standard size. They don't look that bad and why give the police a reason to stop if you don't really need to.

Iv got a 7x5 on my bike and it looks mint with the tailtidy I got from royster, had it on for 6 months riding past a cop stationtwice a day and never had a single question asked, its like tinted visors and load exhausts as long as its not excessive they dont care

400s are so small a standard plate looks stupid  go for a 7x5 and i doubt you will get any hassle

I have a 7x4, close to Japanese measurements, fits fine, dont have trouble with it. It's standard road font, although smaller.
