Are the 400 and 600 fuel pumps the same.

Some are some are not. if you have a later 3tj onwards model then what you are looking for is a 12v Mitsubishi pump as used on Honda, kawasaki, Yamaha ect

certainly most Yamaha fuel pumps of the FZR era seem interchangeable - usually mountings and the way the pipes feed in and out is different, but the connectors all seem common - I have an Exup one on my FZ750 and both of these bikes pumps look like they'd fit either the 600 or 400.

If I wasn't such a lazy arse, I'd go out into the garage and compare the 600/400 pumps as I have both out there - a job for later maybe!
