Warped discs?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to the world of NC30's. Recently picked myself up an 89 import and loving it.
I have one issue though. Under relatively heavy braking, I can feel the lever pulsing and I'm putting this down to one or both front discs being warped. Is this a common issue with NC's or could this just be down to age (it's done 25k miles)? I haven't checked the discs too closely for excessive wear or thickness yet, but just wanted to check on here first in case anyone else had any ideas or advice.

Cheers.

Somethings not right there! It does sound like it could be warped disc(s). NC discs usually last aaaages to be honest. Unless you use sintered pads, which tend to wear the discs quicker.

Check all the bolts are tight and the pads are worn evenly, then check the discs!

Check the thickness, the min is usually 3.5mm i think.. and check for runout, if you dont have a dial guage, by placing a thin point, held sturdily just touching the disc, then rotate the lifted wheel and check if the disk wavers far from that point

if you suspect it might be one disc maybe you could remove one of the calipers, cable tie it out of the way with something between the pads (so it doesn't close too far) and see if its one or both discs that are warped.
Thats just an idea, I know little about breaks :)

Alternativly, tie a felt tip pen as close to the disc as possible without touching and spin the disc, if its warped it'll touch on the warped parts
