NC24 chain 525-108 ?

chain size for nc24 is it 525 108 ? (std j t sprockets) need a good chain recommended bought an o ring for £55 lasted three months (morale- buy cheap buy twice)

What did you do to it?
I paid £55 for my last chain, O-ring type, think it was a DID. It's done 11,000km and still running well, not too much wear.
So your price isn't too bad, however even the cheapest non o-ring chain still should last thousands of miles if looked after carefully, im shocked!!!
wemoto / david silver spares / lings should be able to supply a decent chain.
And yup, 525 width, I recall it being 106 links though, the above dealers should be able to confirm that, if not I can always measure it.

yes 3 months started to overtake 30-40mph shifted down front came up then bang

snaped chain!. adjusted and checked often and oiled 1-2 aweek as i commute on her daily so now im after a something stronger as found a tsubaki h.d. x link on b&c express site for £68 anyone rate them?. note to self :- overtake smoother. no need to measure neosophist 106 it is. now i must clean the oil off this keyboard or

I think you are adjusting your chain too much.
They only need checking every 600 miles and usually dont need any adjusting, just a quick clean and relube.
There was a guy on another forum I use who was adjusting his chain every couple of days and doing god knows what to it only to have it fail after a couple of thousand miles...
Aim for 1.3" of slack.. WHEN your on the bike, if you do it when your not on the bike it'll be way overtight when your on it do to suspension compression, leading to chain wear and failure. If in doubt a bit too much slack is better than it being too tight!
20-30k for a chain isn't uncommon at all with decent modern chains. Too tight and your shredding the chain and the sprockets.
I'd recommend an RK series non-oring chain if you dont mind cleaning and lubing it regularly, very very high tensile strenth and will out last pretty much any o-ring chain if looked after properly and is cheaper.
Otherwise if moneys no object, get an X-ring chain, slightly more than an o-ring but miles better..
Remember not too tight and lube the pins not the rollers :)
