Just blow torch the bike and claim on insurance much less headache that :)

I give up with this thread, i cant arsed to find the page but im sure you were told how to repair the fuel tap which you did and messed up, you were then told what would happen if you left it. And now your complaining your engine is full of petrol!! Its just another classic example of you either not listening you you just dont have the skills to weld a spanner near a bike.

munky i turned the tap off. how was i suppose to know that fuel would still flow even on the off position...

Again im not sorting through 94 pages but didnt you tell us that after your rebuild attempt the tap pissed fuel no matter what you did with it? and ive no doubt you were warned what i dodgy or HRC modded tap might do to your engine yet you go on holiday leaving a known dodgy tap connected, what did you expect to happen?

Bit of a nightmare all round innit.

the worse part of it is that the solutions are all fairly easy and well documented. Taking the buying of a new tap/diaphragm and sorting it out would have been more money that was wanted to be paid. That small amount of money was not spent and now we have another 20+ quid of oil needed, new filter and probably some more plugs too.

I'm not quite ready to write this one off..but fuck me - sort it once and for all mate or to be fair, the effort and money you have put into this to get it painted, exhaust and rearsets etc (all totally wasted on a bike that does not work) is down the drain.

One thing at a time - fix that tap/buy a good one from Geoff/Graeme or whoever on here.

yeah, im taking it one at a time, with total care now. need new plugs, oil/filter, tap. just to get the bike to start.. i still have that fucking jamming problem when trying to start the bike. but i will worry about that later after my bike fires up and stays alive on idle.

If you're gonna ignore the advice that people have given you throughout your project then just pay a mechanic for a few hours to finally fix the frickin thing.

Or get the bike down to me like I offered months ago. Leave it with me for a couple of weeks and I'll get it sorted.

I won't charge you labour but if you don't pay for the parts, you won't get the bike back. Simples

can't say fairer than that.
