Well lets hope there is someone on here, willing to come and see you?

Also, you say mechanics charge stupid amounts but you will be paying for their knowledge, experience & tools etc, so on certain jobs, well worth it.

I can do 99% of things myself but I still had my box of brand new fork parts, put together & set up professionally. Cost me £100 @ a garage, I know & trust, so well worth the money.
Also, what do you value your time @???
If you spend forever & a day trying to fix something & then it goes wrong, its time wasted.
Or alt. someone can do it for just say £200 & its right 1st time, its worth spending the money, especially where costly, delicate parts are involved.

No-one wants you to end up with a bike that worthless, knackered & has cost you £3k in bodgery.

It would be cheaper to buy a bike that's mechanically sound & then you can dress it your way.

Now, I know Scotland is a big place but how far are you from Glasgow? I know someone there who could possibly help you out? He's on here as well - Geebus.

Ok, sounds like a fair distance for anyone!

Well, give Gee a call, you never know, he does like to help out - 07969-754880
Tell him Colin gave you his number, I'm sure on a nice day, with the enticement of tea & biscuits, he'll ride up with his nc30 & you can sort something.
Even if you give him a drink for his fuel, its got to be a good start.

Fuck me, you are cheap! :tits:

Neo and Colin are right - and Geebus is a top lad. Man Named Dave is up in Inverness eh? If nothing else, get a new pair of eyes to look at it.

Inverness is a bloody long way away - 400 miles from me. In all honesty, if I was taking a bike trip, I'd swing on by for a few hours and help you out!

Fix that tap properly - do it right, take pictures and be sure to test it. Perhaps blag a second hand tap off here

I dont know how long you've had your bike but did it used to belong to a former forum member called The Hamster?

i have no idea, i bought it from a guy who lived in Elgin, about 40 minutes away from inverness. he said only the rear brake needed fixing, but. there is a lot more problems than that as you can see.

why?
