yeah not parallel, i give you that. but it doesnt matter to me. i just went with how it looked better on the drawings i did on photoshop before painting, i preferred this. i didnt want the classic honda wings on it. so i did something different :D

Fcuk me! I really have bit my tongue, I will always think of this as the polished turd with wonky rattle can paint job.

As long as the owner likes/accepts the way it looks.

Each to their own. You can't deny him credit for having a go though. So what if the result isn't perfection, it was his first attempt so the next one should be even better now he's got the hang of it.

You probably won't like what I'm considering doing to my new NC. 99% of it I'll be doing myself to save money so I can actually afford to fill the tank and ride it.

Maybe that's the main reason xivlia has done the job himself? Maybe he's not got thousands of £££ burning a hole in his pocket, maybe he needs to save money so he can actually afford petrol, MOT, tax, insurance, etc. Did you think of that?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

I have done every part of my bike myself. I can appreciate money is tight, it always has been. But when a rattle spray comes before the mechanics then I have no sympathy.

Have you got the starter motor fixed,
is the throttle still sticking,
have you fixed the routing of the throttle cables?
