thanks guys.
The different types of weld are not based upon the strength of the weld.
The stud is a steel nut, you could use tig, mig or an arc-welder, oxy-acetaline or maybe even a braized on nut might be strong enough.
Find somebody who has and knows how to use a welder, you only need to tell them it's a steel stud and a steel nut and they should be able to help

Ok well any welder will be able to do that... just tell him you have a steel stud and want a nut welding onto it so you can undo it and then he should be able to oblige!
Spray plenty of releasing fluid / i.e. plus-gas onthe the threads for a few days before you remove it.

okay, i also have this easier option for welding...my dad has a LPG fuelled welder (a gas tank and a flame)...i think it reaches about 750 degrees C .. and another one my dad has is this...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oxy-Turbo-90- ... 0572473748 its says it reacher 3000degrees C...would that be fine to weled a nut on the broken screw? or would i need something more powerfull than that? my uncle has an arc and a tig welding machine but i dont see him that much so i was just wanted to ask about the easier one.

If it's only the remains of the one stud in the pic that you have to remove you could probably braze a nut on,but i don't think you will weld with that kit.the best welder to use for this type of work is a mig.

you'd do it with gas but a mig would be easier, 10 mins of setting up and a 10 sec zap would have mine done

Yes you can weld with Oxy Acetaline
You could braize with the propane.
do not do this yourself. get somebody who knows how to use them to do it, they will know what they are doing.

You dont' need to screw the nut on... anything that you can put a spannr on will do, so long as it isn't stupidly big, just weld it on.
For a nut to fit (screw on) there M8's which is a 6mm thread, can't remember the pitch off hand.. maybe 1.0
