Cheers.
Did you find you had to play with the pilot air screws to get a good return back to idle when you first ran this set-up?

The carbs that you sent me are a bit like this, they sometimes hang a 2k but its very very slight. So will adjusting the pilot screws affect this? i didnt know that :?

Pilot screws and sometimes balancing can effect the revs like that. Just been in the garage and doing both has sorted it on mine.

Remember it's opposite on the rvf carbs,

so vfr you turn 2.25 out and out to richen
And
rvf you turn 1.5/8 in and in to richen

Isnt it ?( No but I've edited it so this is now right)

I knew it was something like that, it's been a while since I looked at a set of carbs.

Went to Dynobike at Malton today to have the carbs set up. It appears my bike did not like my base settings at all and was running very very rich to the point it struggled to rev between 5,000rpm and 7,000rpm.
My base settings were
145 mains, 40 pilots, 8zf needles, nc24 slides, hrc imulsion tubes, p/s 1.5 turns out and air tube restricted to 2mm.
The top and bottom end were easy to rectify but the mid range (needle to main jet transfer) was a nightmare, we tried everything but after three hours, about ten dyno runs and at least seven carb removals she is now putting out 65bhp which is about four more than it had before and sounds the dogs! Im really pleased with this figure as my bikes engine is getting tired, smokes and is in dire need of a rebuild after all the abuse its had off me and previous owners :P
My final settings were
132fr 134 r mains, 35 pilots, nc24 needles, nc24 slides, hrc imulsion tubes, p/s 1.5 turns out and air tube restricted to 2mm
