I had a good friend of mine fit a set of CBR600F4I triple clamps for me, I really don't know what went into fitting them to be honest. I was running the OEM front wheel and a set of forks from the F4I, but I was having problems with dragging calipers and warped a brand new set of EBC pro lite rotors.. grr. Anyway, I was messing around in the garage one day and was looking at a spare R6 front end I had laying around. Did a bit of measuring and it turned out the front end would fit into the F4I clamps with no mods at all, they were exactly the same dimensions in terms of fork size and width. slotted them in and I was good to go. I'm running an OEM 2009 R1 master cylinder and the brakes are total overkill now lol.

This thread has seemed to have come to a stand still. So anyone else recommend these or a good supplier? I have noticed and spoke to Paul at Tyga and he's started to do painted fairings awaiting on a price!

I've just fitted a set and overall I'm pretty happy with them considering the price. They turned an old track hack into a decent looking roadbike.

They're not perfect by any means, but they were actually a lot less work to fit than I anticipated and the bike presents overall pretty well from 10 metres away. They're much better than the old chinese painted fibreglass fairings of a few years ago. I'll try and get some pics up in the next few days.

If you're a perfectionist then there really is no substitute for original panels (though the painted rvf tyga panels do look pretty good).







Main issues with the panels:
- Mudguard didn't have any threads in the bracket holes (I used an original mudguard)
- The h-piece doesn't have threads for the tail light bracket (I used an original h-piece)
- The light blue on the fairings doesn't match the light blue of the original tank (I'll get over it)
- Some lugs and holes needed work with a dremel to get them to fit properly (easy)
- I'm not using the front v-piece, I wouldn't like to try to fit the chinese one.

They fitted up pretty easy all in all, a leisurely afternoon's work.

i bought some ages ago (live in uk) and i didnt pay any import duty

Thank you Deviant400, I have spent so much money on Nancy and just wanna get her on the road now, run out of pennies so thought cheap and cheerful for this year, the tank alone has cost me almost as much as the full fairing set lol x

well pol,if you've read through this thread you'll see there are mixed opinions on the ebay fairings , i bought some a few years ago , although i dont have them anymore i will say they lasted well and when i passed them on there was no issues with them whatsoever, and i know there still being used today, there are certain issues with fitment from various sellers as i had with mine , (noted earlier in this thread) but these have been small issues and nothing an afternoon and a mug of tea didnt sort , the bottom line is you get what you pay for, not gunna be OE quality but on budget the untrained eye wont no the diference

I really don mind as long as they look tidy, I am sure my hubby can soon sort a few fitting problems out, I just want to get out and play, it will be nice to get the little TROUSER FIREWORK on the road. I spent last summer without a bike and after 20+ years of riding it was a long summer.
