Ha ha yes it's right up there for the most fun alongside the nsr250 mc28 I race as well. The v4 at full song through race pipes is lovely.
Mike, not sure when we'll get fully into it, depends on Jims schedule. The heads are ported and the second set of Ti valves should be here this week after they botched the guide keepers on the first. My goal is to have it ready to race at CVR in Sept. not that I wouldn't love to do the August round at willow springs. We'll keep you posted.

I know this is an old thread. Are these cosworth pistons still available and is there enough people interested to get something started..?

These are NLA, but I presume Mike will chime in on potential new supplier / orders as the interest is there. Stay tuned!

I'd be interested in a set or two of the Shorter Compression Height (HRC Spec) pistons if there was another run of them

I am interested in a set of pistons for setup as per standard "bore and go". Or if it is realiable..then pistons with stock crank and stocker rods to increase to a setup of 428cc.
Are there still longer rods are available to embrace one of the other piston setups (1.25mm shorter compression height or even ones based on 3.00mm shorter compression height 'HRC spec')?

The latest iteration is HC, +2mm bore and uses longer Carrillo rods to net a 428. I believe Rick O can get JE big bore Pistons for stock rods but not sure if they are still available.

It seems JE pistons made for TTS are still available (444cc JE big bore pistons), have seen some on the net. But these pistons are not listed (anymore) on the RO list, so will need to contact RO for info.
Another thing, I have read few times on g-force site is that most testing of their engine are done with petrol shell 91 octane (assume as RON). What will this do when using petrol in (RON) 95, 98 or even 100 octane (like shell v-power straight from the fuel pump)?

I spoke to omega before. They have a 56 and 57 mm piston listed in their files and can make them for a minimum order of 5 sets of Pistons for about £205 + vat per piston. Could be an idea?

That includes gudgeon pins and circlips but not rings. They can get rings manufactured but there is a minimum order of 300 rings

Would the FZ rings fit the Omega pistons.
