Dunno but i been there today.
Had a cracking time, the BT090's are pretty shagged now, still loads of tread just too many heat cycles so they will be perfect for the road

We raced cb500s on 090s and yes, they're spot on. Loads of feel, but do wear quite fast.

I'm going to have to change groups, as I just can't get comfy on the little fzr to go 90% due to my knee problem. I'd hoped to have either been fit enough or have had the second operation and be flexible enough by then, but neither is apparent.

I will be leaving the middleweight and going in the slower group if there is space. I will just have a steady bimble round. I can get my foot on the peg, but not my toes. I'd rather not risk an incident for me or anyone else.

Will still be there though, and on track if these is ability to swap groups.

Paul, what ever you feel comfiest with, but bear in mind that the speeds of all of us is very varied, some slower than others and so what if you are not as quick as someone else - it's all good.
Believe me (and i think most will back me on this) the pace in the PR group is quite a bit quicker than the middleweight group was and every single group contains riders who are blisteringly fast and first timers who refuse to lean or are aware of racing lines.
So fear not, but if more comfortable in another group then fair enough pal, and you won't be alone.

I'm an ex racer and track dayer so know about track speeds etc, that's why I know I won't be up to speed for a decent paced session. I'd rather move to novice with brother in law, and just enjoy the day at road paced speeds, rather than be a risk to someone else enjoying closed circuit speeds.

Can you change it or do I need to ring up ?

I'd drop Darin an email, hopefully he'll be able to help you.

I'll be in the novice group so you won't be the only 400; you'll probably be a fair bit faster than me, even with your injury.

Cool thanks. If I need to ring anyone to confirm, just let me know.

I've not been on track for 3 years and it's a brand new bike to me - freshly built, so I wouldn't be sure I will be quicker than anyone
