@ Jeff

That "lower airbox" primary function is to locate and hold the 4 carbs in position. I would not think of taking it off unless I had to. It is the carb bracket oer this side of the water :geek:

@ Druid - looking very nice mate. All this fettling is making me want to get out to my garage...but it is cold..lol (even though I have lights..the roof leaks..lol)

The carb bracket? Yeah I've never taken a set of V4 carbs totally apart.

It really depends on the state of the carbs, if they're very manky I might.

Yep, while building stuff now and then I've had the lounge littered with tools & parts for about a week. It doesn't make u very popular with your family, esp when u shout at them if they stand on shit :D
But a motorbike in the KITCHEN! you really one-upped me there :D
I've already got a beast fan on my window from soldering copper in my room.

So the next thing is to work on a bike in my room, and rev it up with the fan going :)

Can't remember where the hugger came from now, ISTR it was off someone on here.

Unfortunately while this bike was very nearly sorted I went and fell off NC35#2 (old hairpin)

breaking my collarbone in the process *and* my wife lobbed NC35#1 (stupid chicane)

That's quite a view, how high are you? Looks like it would be a bugger to get a bike in there, or are you going to go for the build the bike in an upstairs room then later realise you cannot get it out method?

At least with the bike in the kitchen can point the exhaust out of the back door!
