You know you'll only regret not doing, and then go do it anyways (I only say that cause of how much effort is going into the rest of it!). With the crank done, makes sense to do it too.

Here it is as it stands now with it's new front end and fireblade rad all ready for cadwell next weekend.

Not really much to tell as I doubt you want to see pics of the casings being cleaned out and the other engine being stripped but stuff is happening lol

All went well with the new rad and forks at Cadwell yesterday the temprature stayed nicely in the middle after the session where it would normally have shot right up and the forks.....well I'm no pedrosa i have to say they felt almost exactly the same as my old RWU Maxtons, the only thing i can say is I noticed the bumps into charlies 2 more that I ever have before.

My laptimes are are quicker that they were last time I was there, I guage my corner speed on where my knee goes down (it works for me lets not start a discussion on whether its the fastest way round a corner) but never having touched it down in Charlies 2, Chris Curve and the new flip flop before the mountain (as well as hall bends, hairpin, barn, mansfield and park) I would say the new forks are working well, and that goes without mentioning the calipers....my old 2 pot sliders were great I could lift the back wheel if needed but the RVF caliers give loads more feel and loads more bite, really looking forward the getting the RRW calipers I have rebuilt (I have the new seals now) and fitted for next year.

As for progress on the engine....its moving slowly the gear box is in but thats about it got to sit down tomorrow and make a list of all of the bits I need when doing the rebuild (gaskets and the like)

More soon

Meh....managed to snap a bolt fitting the rocker arm thing that holds the gear change mechanism in place, it was only hand tight as well not a ratchet in site....suppose it's a good thing it went now rather than when the engine was running.
So I decided rather than fuck about trying to find someone to drill it out for me Ive sent the other crank case I have to the blasters instead.
Big order placed with lings for all sorts of gaskets, o rings and a new set of crank shells.

So again I play the waiting game.
