Looking nice mate - im not really a RW&B person but the bike is really getting there - you've got to be happy with that.

Clear standard shape screen FTW - recently got one for mine and it's a huge improvement

Re: Billing's Bikes
Cheers guys
I don't have enough to spare for a new screen atm, I might think about it once I've got other stuff sorted, but tbh, the tinted screen is ok, this one has a few cracks, but nothing major, and my Pyramid one is almost perfect (and doesn't feel like it will break any time soon) so if I need to replace the cracked one I'll just pop that on. I missed out on a brand new clear one with new screws a few weeks back, just as I was preparing to B.I.N for £20 with post someone bid on it, good for the seller as it went for £16 in the end, an extra quid for him lol

Re: Billing's Bikes
Right, now it's all confirmed and paid for, the reason I don't have enough for a clear screen is because I've bought Ibby's solo seat cowl, because the cans on the SP1 system will probably rise up too close for me to be comfortable taking pillions I've decided the pegs will have to go, and due to MOT regs, I believe if I have provision for a pillion to be carried, I must have pegs.
Also I currently have a cut undertray, it's fine for the 9x7 plate thats fitted, but looks a bit crap, so I'll fit the uncut one. Trouble is the plate is stuck to the undertray with either black sealant type stuff or double sided sticky foam, and it will most likely be far to big to fit on the new tray anyway, so I got a new 8x6, not too small as to cause problems with the 5-0, but should fit ok, possibly may need a tiny bit shaved off. Also on the bottom got 'At 14,500rpm no one can hear you scream' just something to make me smile every time I see it :)

Re: Billing's Bikes
Reference the MOT issues with the seat cowl.
March 2009 I went to get my NC30 MOT'd, at that point I did not have any pillion pegs fitted but I did have a pillion seat and so my bike failed. I asked that if I fit a solo seat cowl will that make it pass and both testers said no, unless the pegs are fitted. I questioned this several times and apparently if the actual seat unit has the facility to carry pillion, then the pegs must be fitted even if a seat cowl is fitted.
I hope for your sake that they are either talking bollocks or the rules have changed.

Re: Billing's Bikes
Never heard of something so riduculas in my life, you boys need to find another MOT tester. Ive never once had pillion pegs on any of my bikes regardless of weather the bike was fitted with a pillion seat, seat cowl or complete 1 peice seat unit!
The only comment i get is "you had a full size plate on that when you left here DIDNT you" to which i reply "yes of course" and off i go with my ticket.

Re: Billing's Bikes
Got this from the MOT criteria link in General Chat regarding foot rests;
Mine are actually fairly laid back, and most problems (seems I have an issue with forgetting to check wheel bearings, and needed fronts, rears, fronts and rears in that order lol) they advise me, and if it's a fail they'll let it slide if I buy the parts there and then, promise to fit them as soon as I get home and return the following week to have it checked
From that, it would seem that if it has a single seat it doesn't need footrests, and all the cowl is, is an access panel, not a seat, so should go through just fine :)pillion foot rests are not required on motor bicycles that only have a single seat. in addition some motor bicycles used on or after 14 June 1993, which are intended to carry a passenger may not be fitted with footrests but with handholds attached to the motor bicycle frame adjacent to, or part of the seat. Refer to manufacturers information owners hand book.

Re: Billing's Bikes
Also, earlier today, while the rain held off I managed to mask up and measure for the decals, please excuse the dodgy pic, I forgot to get one before I left work

Also got the other side panels on, just need to paypal some money away for some new d-ring fasteners, and make some brackets to hold the lowers together at the bottom as the brackets have been broken off in the panels 20 year life, which is no biggy and I knew about when I bought them.

Re: Billing's Bikes
Good news, nabbed a quick pic of the new decals in the light :)

Also, had an email, my exhaust has left Japan and should be with me by wednesday
might have to dip (further) into the overdraft to pay for jets and stuff, but am expecting a nice big pay packet at the end of the month, ready to pay that off, and get some leathers
