Re: My NC30 (latest project)
Hey guys, got my new carbs through today, as expected some muppet has been allowed to touch them, just 10 minutes working on them has revealed a number of immediate problems and changes;
-float bowls on wrong carbs so that the drain screws are on the inside
-nearly every screw for the tops and float bowls is chewed up
-124 main jets all round
-sticky slides
-slides has 2 holes
-emulsion tubes mixed up
-choke mechanisms stick sometimes
-1 butterfly flap refuses to align with the other 3 =/

Re: My NC30 (latest project)
My dad lent me some money to buy this,

Not bad for under £24 plus post IMO
I know the mounting points have all proken off, but it should be secure enough and they won't be too obvious due to the standard bolts covering them up

Nice buy! I'm jealous. I'd be tempted to do a quick bodge job with some fibreglass to rebuild those mounts - as you say, any repairs won't be seen (much) anyway. Some washers would probably do the job thoughBillingCBR wrote:My dad lent me some money to buy this,

Keen to see some pics of it fitted!

Re: My NC30 (latest project)
Thanks :D was thinking washers will do the job well enough, will see how it goes when it arrives. I'm a little way off fitting the RVF front end, I have everything apart from calipers, headstock bearings, brake lines and banjo's :D I've bought the calipers from Ali (abrmoto) and they'll be on the way as soon as possible. I'm saving my money for now, I'll see how the bank balance is looking tomorrow, which will decide whats bits I buy now and what I leave until the end of the month. An Abba stan will definately be on my christmas list thoughsuperlite wrote: Nice buy! I'm jealous. Cheers, my dad said he'd lend me up to £35 as that plus postage was half what a new Tyga one is and it's not in mint condition. I'd guess it'd be damn difficult if not nearly impossible to get it to fit the 30 and look good. If you want my opinion on a good CF front mudguard the universal one or the RC211V from Tyga would be almost as good, and they fit using the axle pinch boltsmarcus57 wrote: Bargin,

Would just like to say thank to the guys who have helped me get the bike to where it is now
Simon (edg-65) for the carbon exhaust hanger, RVF front end and advice on gettingit fitted
Ali (abrmoto) for the EBC prolites, HRC stem plug and top yoke nut and the RVF calipers
Smev for the battery strap
mavisravis for the TSR half system
AlexWitham for the rear wheel, grips and top rad mesh
All top people, very helpful and supplied the parts at a great price and where posted arrived very quickly
