now to get it sealed up and get something to cover the idiot lights - alloy plate or maybe a bit of carbon.

I don't ride much in winter, so with the Oz warm weather approaching I've been busy getting some parts together and doing some maintenance on my nc30.

This week I scored a boxed NOS nc30 screen for a good deal, been looking for one for literally years so that'll be nice when fitted.

I also found an rvf rear wheel for very cheap so snapped that up (Oz members contact me if you want importer info). Sticky 18" tyre options are getting very limited in Australia, so I've been on the lookout for a cheap 17" rear for quite a while.

Everything's coming up Cammo...

Took the forks out at the weekend and changed the oil in them, and got my strange damper rod out to get some pics of it to send to RO to get his advice.

Tried to get it booked in for a dyno run but my dyno operator is off enjoying himself racing at the manx. need to have it looked at before what will probably be my last race of the year at Cadwell with Bemsee. I run in the sub64 class with Bemsee and got asked if they could check it on the dyno for legality. it was under 64 but the dyno op said it had some pretty impressive holes in the fueling at the top end.

I did the same, although I didn't send any pics to Rick. I might possibly take one back out because I'm not entirely sure what is inside now I've seen the inside of my old forks....

New spark plugs fitted today, one thing I missed when doing the carbs and valve clearances. Re-covered the seat in Hi grip material I got from saxon seats and a few other final bits and bobs. All ready for Donington on Tuesday. Fingers crossed it will be dry.

Never understood this, I actually apply some polish to my seat before a ride as it helps me slide around.

Really? Why would you want to slide around? Once you have shifted your weight for the corner you want to be able to stay in that position with as much ease as possible. I had it covered in alcantara last year thinking it would grippy but it was like ice when against the leathers, I nearly came off at redgate because of it. So it got covered in black gaffer tape for the rest of last year. Now it's covered in the proper stuff along with grip pads on the tank too.
