Re: Ben's bikes
Update:
Just sorting out payment for the alloy screen brace, also sorted a new left mirror.
Going to phone Gavin tomorrow about the screen (5-6 weeks after my initial order).
Exhaust should be sorted in the next few weeks.
Front end still has annoying rattle.
Tyre has no chicken strip on right hand side (roundabouts).
Managed to strip down the 929 callipers so just need to clean them up,order new rubbers and re assemble. Plus re assemble the master cylinder. Then order the mounting brackets from RPO and re assemble.
Ordering a new shed tomorrow so should have more room to work on the bike!
Probably need to get the front tyre changed before cadwell as it was an advisory on the MOT and it's looking pretty rough now.

Re: Ben's bikes
What size shed you going for? I have a 6x8ft and it too small.
It don't matter if i'm fixin' it or ridin' it.

Re: Ben's bikes
I have a 8x4 at the moment for storing the bike and tools and that's staying. The new one will purely be a workshop type thing and will be 10x12 or 8x16 depends what side the door is and if we can fit the 16 injetblack wrote:What size shed you going for? I have a 6x8ft and it too small.

Ohhh 16 feet of workshop joy. Very jealous as I'm sick of squeezing around in my shed. So much so I'm looking for a new house with a garage.

Re: Ben's bikes
We've gone for the 10 by 12, will unfortunately have some garden stuff in it too but that should be minimised after we've organised current shed space and built a bit in the side for wheel barrow etc.

Re: Ben's bikes
So...
Screen and mirror were dispatched today. Now waiting on screen brace and exhaust.
The leather suit I've been looking at turns out wont be available for at least 48 days in my size so sometime next week ill be takin a ride out to Wolverhampton to try dainese instead (the A* suit I liked is not in stock anywhere in the country in my size for at least 48 days which is way past Cadwell). Parts for the shed base have arrived so will probably do some of that tomorrow between training, if not then over the weekend and Friday.
Thought is ordered the master cylinder rebuild stuff but realised I forgot, but I do have a new reservoir on the way. The new master cylinder is clean and I don't know whether I'm sticking with stock levers or getting the made in UK black adjustable ones from eBay, also need to get some paint for the master cylinder.
Also need to get paint and an oven (know way can I use out new kitchen one) as I don't want gold callipers really. (Me and dad are going to test using the BBQ to cure the paint in scrap metal)

Pictures:
Flat tyre in the courtesy car

Taking down the old shed

And just a few if the bike

In other news, new m/c reservoir had arrived for the new break set up, I've fitted a clear screen, new screen brace has arrived but not fitted. Now just need the m/c and calliper rebuild kits and mounting kits then put it all on.
Still waiting for exhaust but shouldn't be long now

Re: Ben's bikes
Ally screen brace fitted, bike prepped for tomorrow, hopefully my directions sellotaped to my tank won't damage the paint, remove with hair drier we reckon?
