With something resembling sunshine swathing south Essex this morning, I managed to get a half decent rideout under my belt. A friend has just picked up a '90 ZZR6 so we took a rideout to Heybridge to give them both a blast and then chew the cud.
Have sorted the tank vent problem. I get the feeling the handlebars need lowering about 15-20mm. The R1 top yoke is flush whereas the std 3TJ one steps down to the fork tops. Anyone know how much this downward offset is?
This time out the rev restriction at 12.5k rpm didnt cut in, which it did on my rideout to the MOT
Still haven't got an abba stand so haven't done the rear spring yet. Also not sure if the 20mm jack up is really needed. Will wait till the proper spring is on before deciding.
Once a few things are ironed out and the roads aren't full of tractor sh*te it will get lots better

Seems smooth enough. I'd say you were only doing about 28.7 MPH through the built up areas

looking very smooth indeed, where did you mount the camera ?
