If you're that bothered about your shock spring I'll swap you for it ;)

I think im going to cover it up with a shock protector rather than get it powdercoated again, the paint has started to bubble and melt allready! Im getting quite anal about this build now even the state of those bolts bolts is annoying me :P

Got a few more bits done over the last few days.
Painted the fuel and ignition switch lettering:

Calipers where too far gone to restore so ive had to buy some replacements which im picking up on sat:

Clutch cover finished and a better photo of the original paint and respray:

Obviosly there is quite a difference and i do wish id gone for the more expensive paint from RSbikepaints which would have been a perfect match, but this was my first go at spraying so if i had cocked it up then id have only wasted £30 on the paints i used here.

Removed the carbon from the last few valves and started lapping them in:

Switchgear cleaned up, any suggestions on what to do about the high beam switch?

Anybody got an idea what this is? Found it INSIDE my swingarm!

Ah thanks guys, god knows how it got in there then will stick it in my box of random bits as i am too cool for passenger seats now :P

Certainly is Humbrol enamel paints Ricky, idea was taken straight from your thread :) I did struggle to get the red painted on though, as soon as you wipe the excess off it removes most of it from the groves aswell.

IIRC you can replace that button quite easily when opened, maybe try finding one from a wrecked switchgear?

Thanks Cam, it turned out better than i was expecting. Thats just what im planning to do, i opened it up today and it looks quite fiddly but doable also just got a soldering iron so hopefully i can find a tidy switch to go in.
