Yer ER9s.
I wonder whether it could be a compression thing, as the plugs were wet. I can't remember what the measurements were will try and dig out the bit of paper. Will be worth testing it again to make sure.

Could it be a faulty vacuum letting liquid fuel into no.3 cylinder? Do you only have one one vacuum line?

Thats the small pipe from the fuel tap to the carb right? In which case yes only have the one. How could I test that?

Fuel does not go down the vacuum tap - so that is out.
Suspect knackered plugs, poor ignition because of that and a vicious circle.
Did you pull the filter out? Try it...should run nice and lean..crisp but gutless..or maybe it will work OK. Try taking the airbox lid off as a halfway house. I ran my bike without a lid for ages but that used 130/135s in RVF carbs!

Been reading through this and from the carb swop you have to now start looking else where.
Weak spark, air intake blocked, blocked exhaust, low comp, valve clearences out, who knows? for sure carbs seem ok.

Re: Dyno chart - MEGA rich!!!
Ive got a massive coursework project to hand in for the next few weeks are going to be busy. Will investigate further after then. Its a pain getting to the carbs with the tyga kit on as have to remove the whole tail unit to lift up the fuel tank.
I did the valve clearances when I had the engine apart repacked the exhaust so thats good. As you say I think its fair to say the carbs are good,
