Would like another standard set of carbs if anyone has a set?

On the carbs you have two big pipes with a conector on the end. Do these just fold upwise when you put on the airbox?
Also down the bottom of the carbs there is two smaller pipes with nothing on the end. Do these just fold upwards aswell?
Should have took photo when I started!
Thanks for your time

The 2 pipes ech side are breathers and lay upwards. The widest pipe is the drain from the airbox, the next widest goes to the fuel tank / fuel filter and small rubber one is the tank breatherEvilchicken0 wrote:You can do it with the fairing on but it's easier when it's off.
Use piers to turn the petrol tap off (it's under the tank) if you use a screwdriver you'll probably break it. Disconnect / reconnect the throttle cables when the carbs are loose.

Hi,
Maybe you already checked this, but in your carbs there are some funky shaped o-rings between the carb housing and the alu block which hold the jets. After a while these o-rings dry out, and when you close your throttle than it sucks extra fuel in and your engine dies. I took me a while to find this out, tried everything, CDI, EXUP, cylinder compression, etc.....So if your needles and jets are ok, then replace the o-rings and see what happens.
Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Emiel

My guess the reason it runs badly with the carbs I gave you is they were completely standard and so without the exup, it will be running way to rich/lean in places all over the rev range
I could be wrong but my 400 ran absolutely fine with those carbs, standard airbox and the standard pipes with exup (and a race can).

Hello from spain! How do you drain the coolant and refill? Where is the radiator cap and is there a drain bolt as I have to check why the fan didn't work when it boiled over and if it is the sensor unit I will have to drain and refil again possibly loosing the new coolant .
Thanks
Mark

Undo the bottom hose on the left of the bike - catch the coolant in a bowl it's about 3 litres total.
You refil it through the radiator cap on the right side

and the expansion tank is at the back of the bike on the right

you're on holiday stop worrying about the bike
