sub frame is back from the coaters and the undertray and frame is back on the bike, battery went in and the loom connected up , key in and.......nothing ,
hmmm flat battery, so as it was late by now i brought it in for a charge up , following morning back on the bike still no power , as i pulled the loom apart and re taped it , im thinking shit ive messed it up , so a quick re check over all connectors and boosh we have power
next job fresh oil and filter - done
fresh coolant - done
forks back out and rick oliver spring kit and oil in - done (feels much better)
old tank on the bike time to start her up , she runs , bit lumpy , revs hang
so off came the carbs for another check over ,shit the tickover cable snapped at the screw end as i pulled the carbs out, (forgot to disconnect the adjuster from the frame clip ) new one sourced and on its way, phew
re-set the pilots to 2.25 turns out as they were a bit over that, and rechecked the sync using the drill bit method, they were out also by a tad, as the carb rubbers were warmed up a bit they sat back down a bit better so they must of not been seated very well first time around,
little m4 bolt in place of the tickover adjuster and fired up , a lot better than before but still room for improvement
the sound of the pipes is fantastic and have to be heard in the flesh really.....
