Just a little update, I have now got some jets for the RVF carbs and a set of the allen screw bolts from Rick O. so will set about fitting these and see how it goes.

Also got some new exhaust O-ring gaskets to make the exhaust have a proper seal, and will loosen it off, align it right and make sure I can get the side stand to sit right when its folded up.

Last of all I have been aquiring all the fairing parts and tank for a new replica paint scheme.

I have got all genuine panels - some needing a little work. to fit together and get sprayed up in the Horipro Suzuka 8 hr Endurance rep scheme.

As I am keeping my headlights and can't afford a sillhouette fairing - I have come up with a solution. Using my current headlight protectors as inspiration, I have bought a circle of blck perspex to cover one headlight and make it look like part of the black numberboard that goes on the front. I'll stick it on with the velcro coins I use on the current headlight protectors too. Should look good

I'll be getting my mates at Bodyworks in St Just to do it all again. - its pretty simple though.

I've been looking at graphics from companies on the internet - some have quoted £200+ others just £80. but I think I can do a pretty good job using my Grandads vinyl cutter and computer. (plus its alot cheaper!!!)

The horipro is going to look great, why not blank the right headlight off mate, ive got some flexable clear perspex that a lot of the amercan bods use on there SP1 endurance nosecones, looks real nice i'll send you some if you like.

If you do have a spare bit of perspex I think I'll give it a go.

Well, had a little bit of spare time today so went to work on the bike for a bit.

I have fitted the twin stack properly at last. Got it all lined up and in my opinion looking good

I replaced all the exhaust gaskets too, just to make sure I won't have any problems.

I haven't taken any pictures as yet, I'll wait till its all back together with the seat unit on for them.

I have also sorted out the issue with the side stand rubbing on the exhaust. I have just put some spacers behind the stand to move it out about 5mm, problem solved.

The battery is on charge as we speak, as I tried to start it but it was as flat as a pancake!! so once that has been charged over night I will try to get it fired up tomorrow.

I can't wait as I really want to hear his exhaust system!!

To go with the system I have started to sort the RVF carbs. After stripping them down to check jetting I found alsorts of issues with them, large jets in the front , mixture screws all set wrong, bits of plastic inside the diaphragms! and alot of crud in there too.

As I took them apart I managed to damage an emulsion tube, but a replacement one should be on its way soon. I have also fitted new main jets all round (115), reset the mixture screws to 1 5/8s turns out, fitted stainless carb screws all round too.

Just have to give them a quick test (pop some fuel in and check for leaks) then pop them on

So things are starting to come together

Well, I have the fairings down in Cornwall, just in the process of cleaning them up, degreasing, and repairing.
Then they'll be off for paint.
I'm not in too much of a rush as the Stobart Scheme is still in mint condition, and looks great when fitted to the bike.
The Horipro graphics have been measured up - Its just a case of getting some time on my Grandads computer and sorting them out.

Your pretty handy with cutting vinyl aint ya fella? ive got sheet of satin black vinyl that i need to cut to shape for the front nose cone number board, whats the best way of going about it?
