Finally got the bike back together over the last few days. So after installing the carrillo rods I took the opportunity to fit some 32 FCRs and a HRC spec cdi unit that I pick up from Japan.
The flatslides went on with no problems all I had to change was the throttle tube and cables that came with the carbs and change the main jets from 118s to 120s as there was a flat spot between 8,500 and 10,000 RPM when on full throttle. I also left off the flywheel stator. It makes a bit of a difference as the thing seems to pick up revs a lot quicker. just hope it doesn't change the engine breaking into corners by much.
I reckon the best thing about the changes is the rattle from the slides when its idling, makes the bike sound like its got real balls, I'm thinking the noise could be even better then a dry clutch ducati.

Mate haven't spent the hours in the w/shop the last few weeks. I have 3 weeks before my next race so hope to get stuck into it again, once I get onto it I will let you know.

Made some new alloy front axle spacers today.
L/H spacer was 34g now 10g
R/H spacer was 40g now 16g
Total saving of 48g from the front end's unsprung weight. only a few more 100g to go.

Problem is that running fcr's on 400's isn't very common so most peeps don't have a good jetting baseline to start from.
Show & Go has some good fcr jetting and tuning info on their website, under the 'keihin' section at the left of the page.
http://www.showandgo.com.au/
Oz member 'Pleiades' has a set of hrc fcr's on his nc29 racebike, might get some info there.
